Introduction
The basics
Ok Merendi, the seemingly perfect land of sorts, it's
not; I just haven't gotten around to making problems before I even made a place for them to be.
So here's me trying to get you, whoever is reading this, to see my creation through my eyes. Now there
is no planet called Merendi, this is a name applied to a group of Realms. A realm is a sphere, of life supporting junk for
now, the top half is all air, the bottom is all some sort of stone or earth depending on the realm. There are exactly eight
realms floating in a cloud of white known as the Void. This void is definitely toxic, because it lacks air and other things
necessary to support life. Each Realm has eight states, seven of which the people living there know about because the eighth
is deep underground and reached only by accident. Also the eighth Realm is a secret reached only from the eighth state or
through secret means known only to a few lucky entities.
Each Realm is thematic, the seven public realms are the
Fire-Deltav Air-Perna Water-Audrel Forest-Rillain Plains-Sperin
Mountains-Geldam Desert-Caharn
The eigth realm is Belzak and is the so-called Dark realm. That is all you need know of Belzak for now
So now you ask "if the Realms are like little christmas ornaments suspended in this Void then how is there contact with
each other??" For there is contact. It's very simple. Merendi is a land of magic; there are eight types of magic (notice a
pattern? I hope so), one of which most people do not know about.
There is
telekinesis (Nisis), telepathy (Lepa), teleportation (Port), empathy (Path), being control
(Control), Physical restrictions (Restric), physical molding(Molding)
As most people know telekinesis is moving objects. Teleporting is moving oneself, a form of the previous
but not the same. Telepathy here is sensing thoughts and sometimes more. Empathy is sensing emotions and possibly, if one
is strong, the Why behind them. Control is better explained as sympathy, sympathy to everything from animals to plants to
the very ground u walk on, you can tell why and what from an animal hurts, if the ground is stressed enough for an earthquake,
why the crops are dying off, and most of the time how to help. Restrictions is the ability to alter or avoid all physical
restrictions, such as gravity, pain. it has a wide scope, you can change yourself as long as you don't alter yourself outwardly
(physically). Physical changes are listed under molding aka, physical molding. You can give yourself different hair color,
more height, gills, any thing you need or want. These magical talents aren't free for everyone to just take, they are present
at birth and only time and practice can strengthen them, but nothing can give you what you weren't born with. The royal lineage
is filled with magic and the heirs tend to have most of the seven talents (yes I did mention eight before, hold on) and at
a high strength. There are three levels of talent, Regular, Strong, and Maxed. Royalty have mostly strong, with potential
for maxed. Peasants further removed from the noble bloods have regular talents, some strong and usually only three or four
of the eight possible talents. The mysterious eighth talent is called Others and when someone uses Others they can project
a talent they have on someone else, or use a talent they have on someone else temporarily. Others has no measure of strength,
you have it or you don't. Teleportation is the method of travel most used between realms and inside realms, even peasants
devoid of all talent can teleport with the help of water melon sized disks installed in the floor of special buildings in
each realm, there since the beginning of time, which boost normal teleport skills up a level of skill, eg. from strong to
maxed, from none to regular. The people are very territorial and loyal to their Tir or Tira (or King or Queen), but things
have other names here:
King-Tir,Queen-Tira(plural-Tiran) Prince/ss- Shad/a(n) Lord/Lady- Lir/a(n) Rel-royal servant
(all distant relatives of current Tiran) Geno- second in power after Tiran, the oldest sibling is the public Geno, or
the child of the Tiran with the royal birthmark/tattoo if they have been born yet Neven- Knight/ enforcer of peace peasants-shifters/hired
help
One more comment for now until I know what more you want to know--one of the Tiran was a son/daughter of the
previous Tir and Tira and their husband/wife are married into the family. The Tir/a of the blood is picked when the Realms
mark is found behind the left ear at birth, gender doesnt matter, the Geno is the oldest sibling of the Tir/a and takes over
if all Tiran and heirs are killed. Who is the child with the birthright to the throne is secret and known only by the Tiran
and the head tutor of the royal children, until the death of the parents, when that Shad/a becomes the next Tir/a and has
to pick a partner to rule with.
Now, the people on Merendi have huge names, they start out with a
-Given name(in other words: first name) from their parents, next is their -Title, or lack of one,
then comes the inherited -Last name, then comes the -State of birth, then the -Realm of birth, then the -Half(explanation
later) of birth, then the -World of birth(Merendi duh).
The halfs are which half of Merendi you were born on,
there are eight realms, four of which are the so-called elemental realms (fire, air, water, and dark)the others being the
Naturals (forest, mountains, desert, and plains). And so thats your half, and people from one half are distinctly different
from the other.

She is a Shada or princess and the Geno, although she could hardly know that. She was fostered out to the
family running the royal stables after her initial period of learning. She was there to get some real family love that her
Royal parents couldn't give. And to keep track of their rascal son(who has more talents than a stable boy would normally).
He just barely tolerates the Shadan, her siblings and their mostly bored and prideful manners. She has a close group of friends
of about 10 who are anything but normal and not at all alike. Lives in Rillain the Forest Realm Very free spirit and spontaneous.
