This page inspired by Christie... "Shouldn't they have evolved different from one another?"

Been carefully weaving those differences for awhile...just kinda forgot to show people...

Hmm it was in the Merendi folder that I had duct taped shut for future use, interesting.

Rillain, Forest Realm: (home sweet home)

In the Realm of trees the natives have accepted a druidic attitude towards the Realm and their God TosaNumi.  They are brotherly respectful of the land they inhabit and find a way to achieve friendship with that which sustains them.  From time to time sacrificial rites are incorperated to sate the God or in annual celebration, but never human sacrifice for the God would not be pleased by murder.  Only natural death is celebrated as the soul has then completed the cycle to return once more to youth and birth somewhere else.

This Realm gains its wealth by exporting food in the form of hunted game, nuts, and fruit from the wild, and also by shipping out lumber or finished peices of furniture crafted by their famous carpenters.  Possibly even more famous and much envied are the horses raised in Rillain which are seldom bested by other Realms, these horses can be bred to acomodate any Realm in Merendi and for a steep price can bear some trace of a Talent or two.

Of the other Realms Rillain imports exotic foods from Audrel and Perna, as well as stronger building stones from Geldam, panes of glass from Caharn, and the more domestic and farmed food products of Sperin.

Sperin, Plains Realm:

Elven attitude with a view of their one-ness with nature.  In awe of their God, LunaMica, who gives them the great gift of life and prosperity.  They celebrate contentment, achivement durring life, and living life to the fullest so that you gain fufilment, all the while obeying human morals so that the God does not strip them of the gift of life, or worse deny them happiness while extending their life.  When someone has died they have 'Left the light'

Caharn, Desert Realm:

In a place of sultry heat and devestating sand storms the Caharnites have come to worship the soft fleeting delicacies in life; mirages, dreams, and illusions.  In their shaminic culture some are closer to their God, VetoGira, than others; those that have more Talent or are more skillful with it are higher in the veiws of their peers as they were born greatly gifted with those delicate and prized attributes.  Dreams are listened to and meaningful, mirages bring messages from beyond, and a drugged conciouses born of rituals and potions lead to insights.  These all combined might just lead a lucky soul to the ultimate goal; enlightenment, before he has died and 'shed mortal bonds to see true vision'.
